FUTURE FORUM: Building Biopolis

  • Share:
Name: FUTURE FORUM: Building Biopolis
Date: October 14, 2020 - October 17, 2020
Event Description:

We are partnering with the German Center for Research and Innovation and cordially invite you to the Future Forum: Building Biopolis.

What's It All About?
Cities are causing climate change. They consume the most resources, emit pollution, and produce tons of waste. At the same time, cities are also severely threatened by the climate crisis. As innovation hubs, rich in influence and intellectual and creative potential, cities are key players in the fight against climate change.

“Cities are where the climate battle will largely be won or lost.” (Antonio Guterres, UN Secretary General)

The FUTURE FORUM: Building Biopolis offers attendees the opportunity to envision a new kind of green city, a Biopolis, dedicated to conservation and prioritizing innovations in planning, mobility, business and energy that equally protect the health and wellbeing of its land, animals, and inhabitants.

Who's It For?
The FUTURE FORUM: Building Biopolis is for those dedicated to reversing the detrimental human effects on our climate and striving for a sustainable future. We are bringing together top climate experts and urban researchers from both sides of the Atlantic. We invite innovators working in urban planning and policy, mobility, business and energy to collaborate with us to build Biopolis.

What to Expect:
Over four days streamed live online, the DWIH New York will present inspiring content, unique formats and great transatlantic networking opportunities. Come meet and learn from the most inspiring German and American climate experts. The FUTURE FORUM will offer you new insights, perspectives and practical frameworks and give you an opportunity to discuss the challenges and opportunities climate change presents to cities.
