German American Business Outlook 2021 (GABO): What will the Economic Landscape Look for German companies in the US?
This virtual forum will present the results of the GACC's annual German American Business Outlook 2021 (GABO) survey, which will reveal how German companies in the US expect to be impacted by developments in the post-election environment. The following panel discussion will feature industry leaders and their stand on the economy. This survey has been conducted in cooperation with KPMG Germany in November 2020.

Antonis Papadourakis | CEO at Lanxess
Antonis joined LANXESS Corporation as its President and CEO in July, 2015. In August of 2018, he also became President, Americas for the LANXESS Group. Prior to his roles at LANXESS, he held diverse positions in Europe including Sr. Chemical Engineer, Group Leader of the Process Economics Center and Process Control Manager for Polymers & Resins worldwide, Purchasing Manager for Rohm and Haas (UK) Ltd., Engelhard Corporation (now BASF) as Global Business Manager for Stationary Source and Indoor Air and Regional Group President, Americas at Altuglas International (a subsidiary of Arkema).
Peter Riehle | President and CEO of WITTENSTEIN holding Corp.
In May 2013, Mr. Riehle was appointed President and CEO of WITTENSTEIN, holding, Corp., a company committed to being the world-class partner of intelligent mechatronic drive technology servo systems and mechanical components. WITTENSTEIN uses the power of science, innovation, and forward thinking engineering to provide cutting-edge technology for motion. The company?s global headquarters are in Igersheim, Germany with a North American subsidiary in Bartlett, Illinois. During the more than 19 years of operating experience in North America, Mr. Riehle has held a number of executive positions such as Vice President Sales and Marketing at Trumpf Inc. in Farmington, CT and as CEO and President at DMG America (DMG/Mori) in Chicago, IL.
Crispin Teufel | Chief Executive Officer at Lincare Holdings, Inc.
Crispin Teufel is a seasoned, international executive leader with deep knowledge and expertise in finance and reporting. With nearly two decades of progressively responsible experience in Germany and the U.S., Teufel assumed the role of CEO of Lincare Holdings Inc., the leading U.S. provider of respiratory therapy services for patients in the home, in July 2017.
Andreas Glunz, Managing Partner at KPMG in Germany
Andreas leads KPMG Germany's Inbound and Outbound Businesses advising Multinationals around their global business and investment strategies. Since becoming a Partner in 2000 he is servicing several renowned international companies esp. in the industrial manufacturing and automotive space as a Lead Partner. During his more than 25 years in the service industry he has led various complex audit and advisory projects involving multiple jurisdictions, with a particular focus on Japan, Turkey as well as the United States. Andreas has a background as a German Certified Public Auditor and a Certified Tax Advisor in Germany. In addition he is regularly publicizing thought leadership covering global markets and businesses.
Matthew Luzzetti, Chief US Economist, Deutsche Bank NY
Matthew Luzzetti is Chief US Economist and Head of US Economic Research at Deutsche Bank in New York. He was previously an economist in DB’s Office of the Chief Economist in London. Matthew’s research focuses primarily on the US economy and Fed policy, where he regularly contributes to DB’s global economics publications. In 2017, Matthew was named to Business Insider’s Rising Stars on Wall Street Under 35. His research has appeared in several books on economic policy and in top macroeconomics journals. Matthew holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles. While at UCLA, he worked at the U.S. Department of the Treasury in the Office of Financial Research. Prior to graduate school, he spent two years as a research analyst in the macroeconomics department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia.
Katrin Zimmermann, Managing Partner at TLGG
Katrin is responsible for TLGGs consulting services for global and local clients based within the NAFTA region. Prior to joining TLGG, Katrin co-created the Lufthansa Innovation Hub (named as best digital lab by Capital in 2017) with global responsibility for business innovation and venture development. Katrin has over 15 years of client-side experience in travel, hospitality and logistics.
