Event Description:

Become part of the network and mingle with German and US-American representatives from the Offshore Wind industry at our conference which is part of a delegation trip for selected German companies from the Offshore Wind Industry who will visit New York City and North Carolina from June 25-29, 2018.

The program aims to strengthen international experience transfer and collaboration between Germany and the US. The full-day conference focuses on different approaches on both sides of the Atlantic while attendees of the conference will learn about the latest trends, business models and market opportunities in the sector and can meet with German companies to discuss potential synergies.
Germany holds the technological leadership in the field of offshore wind energy through intensified efforts in research and development while the offshore wind turbines are making an increasing contribution to the security of Germany’s energy supply. However, the U.S. is the leading international nation in wind energy production with energy investments almost exclusively concentrating on the onshore sector. Since December 2016, the first offshore wind farm in the US (Rhode Island) is in operation. With especially New York and North Carolina being on the forefront of offshore wind energy, the sector continues to offer excellent potential for specialized German providers in the coming years, who want to become active in the American market with their products, their broad know-how and services.

An agenda of the event will follow soon.
