Event Description:
German American Smart Transportation Forum
New York City has grown dramatically in the years since 2010, causing a need to reduce congestion, adding new and more efficient modes of transportation, as well as updating and restoring existing infrastructure. The goal is to develop long term, sustainable solutions to the city’s transportation needs and improve accessibility and mobility across New York City. New technology and data sources can help to better understand and manage existing and future needs in transportation and mobility.
The event focused on smart transportation and mobility solutions and brought together experts from Germany and local US innovators to discuss ways to cooperate. As part of the forum, a German delegation presented their latest products and technologies to ensure more energy efficient transportation and mobility solutions. Germany has been known for decades as a leader in energy efficiency and renewable energy. The event targeted professionals, researchers and thought leaders in the fields of energy efficiency in transportation and mobility.
