New York Passive House 2017 Conference & Expo
Interest and advocacy of Passive House standards is surging globally. Passive House is continuously cited by governments across Europe and North America as a vitally important building standard for delivering the carbon emissions reductions required by the Paris Climate Agreement and equipped to adapt contemporary life to the demands of a warming planet.
Through a combination of innovative approaches and technologies, Passive House standards have been shown to reduce building energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions by up to 90%, all while maintaining a comfortable, healthy and consistent year-round indoor air environment. As the number of Passive House Certified buildings continues to expand rapidly, it has never been more important for professionals and practitioners working on energy efficiency initiatives, high performance buildings and renewables to become familiar with techniques and materials, not to mention one another.
This year's conference will feature presentations and panels on a unique range of focus areas, including passive house schools, production facilities, and more! Our presenters and attendees include representatives from the New York City Mayor's Office of Sustainability , NYC School Construction Authority, NYSERDA, Syska Hennessy Group, Steven Winter Associates, and more.
