Event Description:
From September 19th, 2022 to September 22nd, 2022, the German American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. in New York, on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Action, organized a delegation trip for buyers from the United Nations (UN) to the SECURITY trade fair in Essen (press release).
The 4-day delegation trip was exclusively organized for UN procurement officers from the security sector to provide information about the German market of civil security technologies and services and to learn about new products and developments. Furthermore, the participants had the opportunity to network with German companies and experts from this important industry (download flyer here).
An important industry in Germany, the security sector; has grown steadily in recent years. While sales in 2007 were EUR 4.5 billion, the forecast for 2021 is for around EUR 9.2 billion.
The seminar "How to do Business with the UN" was targeted towards German companies from the civil security industry. Participants learned about the UN procurement systems and connect with UN procurement officers.
