Event Description:

We, the German American Chamber of Commerce, Inc., are excited to host our famous STEP USA Pitch Night in-person on Wednesday, September 28th, 2022!

In collaboration with the German Center for Research and Innovation New York (DWIH) we are proud to welcome a startup cohort from Germany to our Startup Entrepreneurship Program (STEP USA) in New York to a 4-day strategy development boot-camp supporting promising German startups and their expansion to the US.

During our famous STEP USA Pitch Night at the German Consulate General New York, the cohort will present their ideas to potential customers and partners. A jury consisting of Venture Capital Investors will be providing direct feedback.

STEP USA takes place up to six times per year and is designed to assist German startups with their US market entry. So far, the GACC NY has successfully hosted 39 cohorts since 2014. Our alumni network comprises 546 German startups, out of which 78 US subsidiaries have resulted. More than 52 of our alumni managed to raise a series A/B investment in the meantime.

The STEP USA program includes:

STEP USA Pitch Night in Manhattan
Networking opportunities within the New York City startup ecosystem
Intros to industry-targeted VC investors and business angels
Individual pitch training and mentoring
U.S. market entry workshops held by industry experts on legal requirements, regulations, sales & marketing strategies that work in the U.S.
