Event Description:
Women in Business Series: Communications Workshop
“Connecting Your Voice To Business”
Join us for this interactive workshop where you will learn how to leverage one of your greatest assets in communication: your voice!
This workshop will teach you how to present more clearly, using such elements as tone to create the meaning and to reach the presence you want. We will also discuss audience perception, practice asking and answering questions to get the right information, and learn how to handle interruptions.
This workshop is specifically designed for speakers of English as a second language. It is interactive, so come ready with ideas and stories of your own to share! By the end of this workshop, you will have some clear techniques that you can apply right away in your everyday communications.
About the Speaker: Lisa M. Patti M.S., CCC-SLP is the founder of AccentC3. She has been working with international professionals, entrepreneurs, and students for more than 15 years, developing techniques to improve all aspects of spoken communication. Lisa empowers her clients with tools to maximize their communication styles, and leverage their voice to command presence.
Her method focuses on the 3C’s: communication of the message, clarity of speech, and bridging the gap of cultural communication differences. Her approach blends elements from the worlds of speech pathology, intercultural communication training, theater, and experiences gained from each client.
