Alfred Ritter GmbH & Co. KG

Founded in 1912, the medium-sized family-run company with approximately 1,000 employees is being run in the third generation by Alfred T. Ritter from Waldenbuch in Swabia. Clara Ritter already invented the characteristic square chocolate shape in 1932. Each day, roughly 2.5 million of the colorfully packaged bars leave the plant, where they have been manufactured without the use of nuclear power since 2002. The Ritter family has vouched for the high quality of the products with their name for more than 100 years.
